Mail a document to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)
Many tax matters are handled online, but not all of them: sometimes you're asked for a signed form or supporting documents by mail. Without a printer, or from abroad, that's where it gets stuck.
First: can it be done online?
The CRA accepts more and more documents through My Account and its “Submit documents” service. If that works in your case, it's faster and free.
If the letter you received asks for something by mail, or you can't access the online services, we handle the printing and mailing.
Use the address on your letter
The CRA has several addresses depending on the document, the program and your tax centre. Copy exactly the one on your letter or form, and include the page with your reference or file number if asked.
In Quebec, provincial income tax is handled by Revenu Québec, not the CRA: check which of the two sent you the letter.

When to choose registered mail
When a deadline is close, or when you want to be able to show you replied. With registered mail, online tracking shows the acceptance date and delivery, and we keep the mailing receipt.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
For 6 black-and-white pages by regular mail: $1.50 printing and $9 postage, so $10.50 CAD. By registered mail, the total is $33.49.
Can I reply from abroad?
Yes. You order from any country with a foreign card; the document travels as Canadian domestic mail.
Will the agency receive my originals?
No, a printout of the files you upload. If an original is specifically requested, it has to travel as the original.
Are my documents kept?
The file is kept while the order is processed. Email us if you want it deleted right away.
