Who is responsible

InkShip (British Columbia, Canada) is responsible for the personal information collected on this site. For any question or request: hello@inkship.ca, to the attention of the privacy officer.

What we collect

When you order: your name and email address, the recipient's name and address, the sender's name for registered mail, the uploaded document and the options you chose.

When you pay: payment is processed by Stripe. We receive the payment confirmation and amount, never your card number.

When you write to us: your name, email address and message.

When you visit the site: Google Analytics uses cookies to collect data about your visit: pages viewed, device type, approximate region.

Why

To print and mail your document, send you the confirmation and tracking number, answer your questions, keep our books and understand how the site is used. We do not sell your information and we do not send you advertising.

We read your document only as far as needed to print it and check the printout.

Who we share it with

Only the providers the service needs: Stripe (payment), Resend (email delivery), Railway (hosting of the site and files), Google (audience measurement) and Canada Post (the address is on the envelope).

Some of these providers process or store data outside Canada, including in the United States. It may then be accessible to authorities there under their laws.

How long

Your documents are automatically deleted from our servers 30 days after the order.

Order details (names, addresses, amounts) are kept as long as our accounting and tax obligations require, at most 7 years.

Your messages are kept as long as needed to answer you, at most 24 months.

Security

The site is encrypted (HTTPS). Documents are not reachable through any public link: only InkShip can download them, through protected access.

Cookies

Google Analytics cookies are used only to measure audience. You can refuse them in your browser settings or with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on; the site works without them.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your information (subject to our legal obligations), and withdraw your consent, by writing to hello@inkship.ca. We answer within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (OIPC) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
